“To be prepared beforehand for any contingency is the greatest of virtues.”

BoggsRDI am a cyclist, a coach, and an event director. I grew up riding BMX bikes in the foothills near Fresno, CA, until my mother convinced me to invest in my first multi-geared bicycle: a Bridgestone MB-5. A storied career that included wholesale florist in Fresno and home-builder in Colorado (with plenty of bike riding along the way) eventually led back to Fresno to a job at the “Happiest Bike Shop on Earth” where I became one of seven co-founders of the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition, a non-profit organization working to promote bikes for transportation and recreation at a bona fide epicenter of twentieth century urban sprawl. I completed studies with honors in Economics and Mathematics at UC Davis where, as a member of the Cal Aggie cycling team, I became active in bicycle racing. I race on the road, track, and dirt if the price is right and manage and direct bicycle races and other outdoor events year-round.
